The Constitution unit covers two to three days of class time (suggested) and begins with a discussion of the failures of the original Articles of Confederation, followed by a look at the many compromises required to create and ratify our Constitution and concluding with a look at the mechanics of how the Constitution works. Time period: 1781 through 1789.
The Constitution unit contains two day-long sections:
the Creation and Compromise covers the writing and ratification of the Constitution.
the Constitution In Action explains exactly how the Constitution works.
