The Early Humans section begins with a look at the development of homo sapiens at both the level of anatomy and culture. Evolution of the human race is traced through prehistory until the beginning of agriculture. Next, the student is introduced to the evolutionary perspective and its use in explaining several universal human behaviors.
The Early Humans section contains two separate days:
Day 1: The Starting Line traces human development beginning at 6 million BCE
Day 2: Evolutionary Perspectives uses evolution to explain universal human behaviors
