The Economics unit covers three weeks of class time (suggested) and begins with a review of basic economic principles then moves on to a study of individual consumer and company decisions (microeconomics) and then ends with a look at the national economy and its indicators (macroeconomics).
The Economics unit contains three sections:
the Basic Principles section explains scarcity, incentives and comparative advantage
the Microeconomics unit deals with the individual consumer and individual company in the marketplace
the Macroeconomics is the study of national economies.
